Euro Auctions, a leading British auctioneer of industrial plant and machinery, is exclusively coordinating the disposal of all site equipment from UK Coal’s Minorca surface mine.

All items go under the hammer in a one-day unreserved auction at the surface mine in Bosworth Road, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, England at 10am on Tuesday 22 November.

Included in this auction is a selection of CAT 777B/C/D mining trucks, many with reversing cameras; CAT DR-8 and DR-9 dozers complete with rippers; a choice of O&K RH120C power shovels/ excavators; and various other articulated dump trucks, fork handlers and a New Holland TS135A tractor.

A fleet of commercial support vehicles that include a Johnston road brush, a Bedford 4×4 4000 litre fuel bowser, a Bedford TM service vehicle plus a choice of 110 long wheel-based Land Rovers, will also be up for grabs on auction day. Other equipment at the event includes a steel-framed workshop, various portable fitter cabins and containerised stores, plus staff facilities including a containerised canteen and washroom.

“All the equipment going under the hammer has been exceptionally well maintained and despite the age of some pieces, we expect real interest and as it’s all being offered without reserve buyers could pick up some real quality bargains,” said Euro Auctions’ David Betts.

Further details and catalogues for this event are available on the Euro Auctions website at www.euroauctions.com and a Bidder Number will be required to bid on any of the lots either in person or via Euro Auctions’ Free Internet Bidding Service.
