The Eurocement Group in Russia has raised the retail prices for cement by 8%. The share of the company in St. Petersburg market and the Leningrad region is estimated at 60%. The prices for Eurocement Group's products will increase by RUB 300 (€3.39/US$3.81) per tonne and the average price for cement in the market will increase to RUB 4,500 (€50.81/$57.20), as a result. The prices for Eurocement Group’s products will increase by RUB 300 (€3.39/US$3.81) per tonne and the average price for cement in the market will increase to RUB 4,500 (€50.81/$57.20), as a result.
The concrete producers, which are the primary customers for cement, will also have to raise the prices for their products.
It is estimated that housing prices will increase slightly, by RUB 75-100 per square metre, due to the increases.
