According to insiders, the merger of Swiss cement group Holcim and French industrial company Lafarge will probably be approved by the European Commission. The Commission will publicly announce its decision on 15 December 2015.
A Lafarge spokesperson confirmed that eight anti-trust authorities have already approved the transaction, which includes Russia, South Africa and Turkey among others.
