The upcoming Road Research meeting being run by FEHRL on 18th and 19th October 2011 (FeRRM11) is being held at the Maison de l’automobile in Brussels. This significant event is a key focus for road research infrastructure professionals and attendance is offered free of charge. The event will be used to demonstrate the results and outcomes of recent significant road research projects including DETRA, Direct-Mat, PERSUADE and Re-Road, and their benefits for society and the environment.
The programme features over 30 renowned speakers including Hans Jeekel and Sandra Erkens from Rijkswaterstaat in the Netherlands, Liam Breslin and Paul Verhoef from the European Commission and Claude van Rooten from the Belgian Road Research Centre (BRRC). The programme includes the first ever workshop on the EUTRAIN project which will focus on international cooperation in transport research between the European Transport Research Area and other regions. Numerous networking opportunities with the road research community, with a dynamic blend of workshops, plenary and parallel sessions allowing for questions and answers, general as well as more focussed discussions.
