At the end of February 2024, Van Laecke Group, Finlay’s Netherlands distributor, delivered the new hybrid-powered Finlay 883+ Spaleck to Dijkshoorn in Bleiswijk. According to Dutch tradition, this festive delivery was accompanied by a delicious cake.

A leading company specialising in green recycling, rubble recycling, and processing various waste streams, Dijkshoorn chose the Finlay 883+ Spaleck because of its versatility and fine screening. This machine excels in sieving at 4mm without additional cleaning of the lower deck, even with sand, construction and demolition waste, horticultural waste, and sticky substances that other sieves often clog up. The 3D upper deck of 40×50 mm is a valuable asset, allowing sticks and other long parts to be effectively removed.

What made the decision even more empowering was the machine’s hybrid configuration. This allows Dijkshoorn to maximise work electrically with the output of their 5,000 solar panels, an essential step in their pursuit of CO-neutral running. This sustainable approach is an absolute must for a company that is progressive in terms of environmentally friendly business operations.

A Finlay spokesperson said: “We would like to thank Matthijs Dijkshoorn, Arwin Dijkshoorn and their dedicated team for their trust in the Van Laecke Group and the many wonderful years of cooperation. The Finlay hybrid powered 883+ Spaleck will undoubtedly contribute to the success of Dijkshoorn’s recycling operations.”
