Finlay—a pioneering force in the mobile crushing and screening industry—recently welcomed approximately 200 guests from Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia to its World Dealer Conference in the stunning backdrop of Barcelona, Spain.
The must-attend event allowed Finlay, a Terex Materials Processing business brand, to commemorate its remarkable 65-year-strong heritage and commitment to a strong and innovative future.
“A pivotal focus of this year’s conference was to reinforce the family mentality that has been at the heart of Finlay throughout our 65-year history,” said Matt Dickson, Business Line Director for Finlay. “Finlay is more than just a name or a logo; it’s a symbol of excellence, innovation, and integrity. It represents the hard work and steady commitment of our team and our distributors around the world. It’s a legacy that we’ve built together, one machine at a time and one satisfied customer at a time.”
The conference was marked by a series of informative presentations that delved into Finlay’s product offerings, operations and quality management, future solutions, digital journey, after-sales support, marketing strategies, global parts support, rental opportunities, and the added support Terex Financial Solutions brings to Finlay customers.
Al Peasland, Commercial and Marketing Director of Fieri Leadership and the former Head of Technical and Innovation Partnerships at F1 Williams Racing, gave a captivating keynote address. An ex-decade-long senior member of Red Bull, Peasland was formerly responsible for the fastest F1 pit change ever. His inspiring words resonated with the Finlay guests, emphasising the significance of continuous innovation, the pursuit of engineering excellence, fostering collaboration and engagement, and, most importantly, the spirit of teamwork.
The guests were treated to a wealth of valuable information. They enjoyed a warm welcome reception during the first evening of the conference at an impressive rooftop location overlooking the beautiful Barcelona harbour. The conference’s second night was an awards gala dinner to celebrate the achievements of the Finlay global distribution network. The special evening took place at the La Llotja de Mar, a stunning 8th-century building considered one of Barcelona’s finest neoclassical buildings. As the conference ended on the third evening, guests enjoyed a memorable experience with catamaran tours along the picturesque Barcelona coastline at sunset.
