Finning, the UK and Ireland Caterpillar dealer, has completed the acquisition of the newly formed Sitech dealership for the UK and Ireland.
Created in June 2014, the new Sitech dealership delivers advanced site monitoring and productivity technology solutions to heavy civil construction contractors working across a range of earthmoving applications – including construction of roads, railways and site preparation for large commercial, industrial and residential projects. Sitech’s innovative construction technology provides contractors with greater insights into their operations, enabling them to lower operating costs and improve accuracy, safety and productivity.
Of the acquisition of Sitech UK and Ireland, Finning director of equipment solutions Jason Howlett said, “This acquisition marks a step change in our offering to customers in the civil engineering and earthmoving sectors in particular. The Sitech team will operate as a standalone business, providing innovative technology solutions for customers’ entire equipment fleet, regardless of machine make, type or model.”
