FL Smidth has been awarded contracts worth a total of approximately €66.7 million for equipment supplies to a copper producer in South America. The equipment contracts for the copper mine include the delivery of gyratory crushers, apron feeders, cyclones, flotation cells, concentrate thickeners, and tailing thickeners. The equipment supplied by FLSmidth will improve production efficiency and enable higher recovery of valuable metals.

The global demand for copper continues to grow. Both in industry and in households, copper is essential for construction, power generation and transmission, electronics and computing, machinery, heating and cooling, communications, motors and more, making copper an essential mineral for economic development.
