BulkSource has announced a major move by securing an experienced quarry professional as its chairman and investor.
Summit Materials founder and former chief executive officer Tom Hill has joined the technology company as it expands its presence in the aggregates and construction materials industries.
“Tom has an unparalleled ability to build and scale companies in this industry. His insights and experience will be game-changing for BulkSource as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible,” BulkSource’s founder and chief executive officer Gregory Dangler said.
“Having him on board will accelerate our efforts to bring transformative solutions to the market and help us execute at a level that matches the scale of our ambitions.”
Hull served as Summit Materials’ chief executive officer from 2009 to 2020 and was previously the chief executive officer of Oldcastle Inc. Hill joins the Denver-based business which began in 2021 with the aim of providing technology solutions to customers in the aggregate, asphalt, and concrete sectors.
“The aggregate and construction materials industries deserve the kind of transformation BulkSource has pioneered,” Hill said.
“Their platform is revolutionising enterprise solutions and commercial execution, setting a new standard for efficiency and scalability. I am honoured to be part of what will undoubtedly be the next major high-growth story in the sector.”
