Mongolia is one of the fastest growing economies in the world with double-digit annual growth rates for GDP, thanks to a wealth of natural resources including coal, copper, gold and rare earths. Leading economic research institutes are forecasting an increase of 15-18% in 2013. The state’s treasury has already earmarked revenue for housing and transport infrastructure schemes, with several road and bridge construction projects planned.
