GB Concrete, based in Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands of England, offers professional concreting services and has taken delivery of its first new Cemen Tech C60 mixer from Volumech.
The growing company initially used Volumech’s workshop for servicing and repairing its existing fleet before working with the technical team and deciding to purchase the new mixer.
Kieran Blaney, Operations Manager at GB Concrete, said: “We have built a good relationship with Volumech over the last 12 months. It started from a workshop point of view, then onto purchasing and parts. We then went to Volumech to help us with the technical side of things when we were looking to attain our BSI accreditation.
“From the top to the bottom, everybody at Volumech, whether it’s the engineers, the technical team or the staff in the office, they are all very supportive and really want to help us as a company grow. They are not just there to sell a vehicle.”
The recent growth of GB Concrete has enabled it to plan to purchase a total of three volumetric concrete mixers in three years.
Blaney adds: “This is the first of the three new mixers which will bring us in line with the changes in legislation in 2028, modernise our fleet and give us full visibility and control over the concrete mixes.”
The Cemen Tech C60 is the world’s best-selling, fully automated volumetric concrete mixer, which batches, mixes, pours and tracks concrete in one unit. With the press of a button, users can start or stop the mix as well as get consistent results with pre-programmed mix designs, which in turn helps to save money.

During the handover of the first machine, the Volumech team provided on-site comprehensive calibration and operator training to GB Concrete and will continue to offer ongoing support.
