GCCA membership expands to 20 companies – with more set to join

Cement companies from Asia and North America are the latest to join the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA), bringing the total number of member companies to 20 as the organisation drives responsible leadership in the manufacture and use of cement and concrete globally.

New members in September include:

  • Mexico-based Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua SAB de CV (GCC)
  • Israel-based Nesher Israel Cement Enterprises Ltd
  • India-based Shree Cement Ltd
  • Taiwan-based Taiwan Cement Corporation

The number of GCCA affiliates is also growing with the addition of Cámara Nacional del Cemento, Mexico; Federación Interamericana del Cemento (FICEM), Colombia; and Union of Cement Producers – Soyuzcement, Russia.

Albert Manifold, chief executive officer of CRH and GCCA president, said: “It is encouraging to see positive momentum in the growth of the association with members throughout the world. As the authoritative voice for the sector, we look forward to bringing the industry together in November at the GCCA Symposium in London to discuss future trends and global priorities for our industry.”

GCCA members now include: Buzzi Unicem, Cementos Argos, Cementos Pacasmayo, CEMEX, Çimsa Çimento, CNBM, CRH, Dangote, Eurocement, Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua SAB de CV (GCC), HeidelbergCement, LafargeHolcim, Nesher Israel Cement Enterprises Ltd, SCG Cement, Shree Cement Ltd, Taiheiyo, Taiwan Cement Corporation, Titan Cement, Ultratech and Votorantim.

Further applications for membership and affiliate status have been received and are being processed.
