Heidelberg Materials UK has opened its second evoHub at its Greenwich concrete plant to showcase lower-carbon materials in practice.
Professionals, including contractors and engineers, can visit the hub to learn about carbon capture and storage, carbon impact calculation, and lower-carbon product solutions from Heidelberg Materials’ technical experts and customers.
“The opening of our second evoHub venue reflects the growing demand for expert-led guidance, accredited CPDs and hands-on training in sustainable construction,” Heidelberg Materials UK sustainability director Marian Garfield said.
“Through evoHub, we are supporting the sector in implementing lower carbon material solutions at every stage in the supply chain, from concept and design through to construction and refurbishment.
“This includes through the eight stages of the RIBA design process, as well as offering solutions to achieve BREEAM Excellent buildings, unlock green finance and promote the circular economy.”
The opening at the Greenwich concrete plant follows the opening of evoHub in Clerkenwell which has been visited by more than 300 professionals since it opened in September 2025.
