Aggregate Industries, part of the Holcim group, has welcomed a new director to lead its people functions across the business.

The major UK sustainable building solutions company has appointed Hannah Lisby as its new director of People and a member of its Executive Committee.

The role oversees the company’s people management and development including Human Resources, Talent Management, Pay, Pensions and Reward, Learning and Development and Internal Communications.

Hannah has over 20 years in the industry, working across recruitment, talent acquisition and HR management roles.

She has worked on the agency side before taking on roles with KFC UK. This was followed by eight years in talent acquisition within the beer industry for SABMiller before moving into construction with the BMI Group, where she progressed from talent acquisition to HR Director.

Lee Sleight, Chief Executive Officer, said: “We’re extremely pleased to welcome Hannah to the business. She has a wealth of experience with a strong record in leading and delivering on people development across a range of sectors.

“I am sure she’ll have a significant impact in helping us continue the strategic transformation of our business and culture and am delighted to have her on board.”

Commenting on her appointment, Hannah Lisby said, “I’m really excited to have joined such a purpose-driven organisation, and I have been so warmly welcomed in my first few weeks within the business.

“What is immediately clear is that we have some really talented and passionate people, which is a great foundation to work from. My first role is to deliver on our people strategy, concentrating on the initiatives that will make the biggest impact.

“I really want to focus on creating an inclusive culture and helping develop the next generation of talent both within the organisation and attracting the best people from outside it.”
