The project will allow the port to take four additional cargo vessels at a time and is expected to create enough space for cargo ships carrying clinker to berth at the port for easy discharge.
Tema Harbour currently has limited space for receiving clinker which the director general of the Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority, Richard Anamoo, said was a major contributor to the shortage of the product in the market.
