Heidelberg Materials UK has opened a new ready-mixed concrete plant in Abergele, north Wales, increasing the company’s footprint and capabilities in the region.
The concrete plant is capable of meeting the demands of major construction projects. It is equally equipped to supply ready-mixed concrete for residential uses such as foundations, driveways, pathways and patios.
The plant is supplied by the company’s adjacent Abergele quarry, removing the need for aggregate to be transported in by road and cutting associated carbon emissions.
The site can supply all concrete needs – including high-volume, specialist, or bespoke mixes and low-carbon concrete – to customers within a 20-mile radius.
The new plant has two concrete mixers, ensuring a reliable supply and efficient turnaround for customers.
