Sustainable cement technologies company Hoffmann Green has been given €3m in financing from public investment bank Bpifrance to accelerate its innovation projects.

The funding is part of Bpifrance’s R&D Innovation Loan programme, dedicated to financing technological innovation projects. The programme supports industrial research, experimental development, process and organisational innovation, and feasibility studies.

Hoffmann Green says the funding will enable it to strengthen its research and development capabilities, accelerate the development of new 0% clinker decarbonised cements, and deploy innovative solutions that address the environmental and industrial challenges of sustainable construction, as part of a major innovation project dedicated to developing a new disruptive technology.

The announcement of the funding accompanies the renewal of Hoffmann Green’s membership in Bpifrance’s Club of Excellence.

The Bpifrance Club of Excellence brings together 2,000 leaders of high-potential companies, selected for their growth and regional and national influence. It offers a privileged environment for exchange, networking, and strategic support, enabling members to remain at the forefront of innovation and development. Each member is co-opted by the institution’s networks and embodies entrepreneurial excellence, a drive to excel, and a positive impact.

Julien Blanchard and David Hoffmann, co-founders of Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies, stated: “This funding and the renewal of our membership in Bpifrance’s Club of Excellence recognise the importance of our innovative and sustainable approach.

“We thank Bpifrance for their trust, which allows us to accelerate the development of decarbonised cements, intensify our research and offer concrete solutions for more responsible and environmentally friendly construction.”
