Turnover of Holcim (Deutschland) fell from €392 million to €378 million in 2012 while operating result changed from a profit of €28.8 million to a loss of €29.9 million. In the binding agents segment, sales in terms of value and volume were said to be disappointing but in the aggregate segment, sales in terms of volume met expectations. The ready-mix concrete unit failed to meet expectations and operating profit was poor.
