Austria-based Michetschläger has just acquired its first mobile crusher. ABE takes a look at the use of the DSB Innocrush 30 on site

Many quarries that have traditionally used static plants to meet the demand for aggregates are now looking to mobile equipment in place of investing in direct replacements. One of the latest quarries to take this route is Michetschläger based near the town of Eberstalzell in Upper Austria.

The company has recently taken delivery of the first Innocrush 30 from DSB Maschinenbau to replace its existing stationary plant and an ageing mobile jaw crusher.

Managing Director and owner Harald Schweinberger decided, together with his brother Thomas, to invest in the Innocrush 30 to replace both the old crushers and maintain production levels.

According to DSC, the key feature of the new Innocrush 30 is a longer main discharge belt which has a discharge height of 3.2m for good stockpiling capabilities. The company has also said that despite the capacity, the Innocrush 30 remains under 30tonnes total weight and, with its folded-up main discharge belt, it is still very compact for transport. The motor pack has also been reworked and optimised.

For Michetschläger, which maintains and repair its machines in house, it was an easy decision. “We were convinced by the rugged design, without any complicated electronics, the solid construction with quality technical components, as well as the outstanding capacity combined with unparalleled price-performance ratio,” explained Schweinberger. “All options such as radio remote control, side-discharge belt, magnetic belt and dust suppression system are already included in the basic crusher package.”

Michetschläger’s crusher is already used intensively in both asphalt and concrete recycling as well as in the processing of conglomerate rocks and granite. In concrete recycling, almost 200tonnes per hour has been achieved, while for natural aggregates this rate has been exceeded.

Starting with feed stock with up to 500mm edge length, and sometimes larger, mainly the fractions 0-32 and 0-62mm are produced by Michetschläger. According to DSB, the machine is suitable for universal application and produces optimum cubic grain.
