IPS (Integrated Power Services), a South Carolina-based company which repairs electric motors for customers in the aggregate and cement industries, has acquired Tesco Industries.
Tesco Industries is a full-service electric motor and generator repair facility that serves mining companies in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.
The facility offers motor and generator repair services, rewinds, machining, field and mechanical services and preventive maintenance. It also features a climate-controlled warehouse with a 60-tonne crane, dedicated to storage and maintenance of customers’ critical equipment.
IPS says the acquisition of the Tesco Industries service centre supports the expansion of its service offering in repair services, field services and distribution into the central Canadian provinces.
Combining IPS and Tesco Industries resources will support more on-site work in the region, the company adds.
