Iran's annual cement production is likely to fall by around 12% compared to fiscal year 2014/2015, according to the secretary of Iran's Cement Industry Employers Association. The country produced more than 61 million tonnes of cement in 2014/2015. However, between 21 March and 21 November 2015 the country's cement production dropped by 10% to 12%. Of the 97 cement kilns at 71 cement plants in Iran, around 30 to 35 are reportedly not working due to technical problems and gas shortage.
