IronPlanet, a leading online auction company for pre-owned construction equipment, will make around 300 items from across Europe available to purchase in its ‘VINCI special’ online auction taking place today (29/10/14).

Europe’s leading construction company and a major global player, VINCI is the driving-force behind some of the largest construction projects on the planet and employ more than 69,000 people across 100 countries.

In continuing its long-standing relationship with IronPlanet, the company is offering a range of high-quality, well-maintained machinery at the auction includes a 2007 Volvo EC360BLC Track Excavator (#531220); a 2003 Caterpillar 385B LME Track Excavator (#531197); a 2003 Caterpillar DR7 Crawler Tractor (#531216); a 2005 Volvo A30D Articulated Dump Truck (#531225); a 2006 Tamrock RANGER 800 Rock Drill (#531224); a 2002 Caterpillar 988G Wheel Loader (#531204).

During this online auction equipment will be sold to the highest bidder, but registered users can place bids prior to this by using the IronPlanet PriorityBid service. This service will automate bidding on the buyer’s behalf should the buyer be unable to attend the auction.

The online auction format benefits sellers by providing unique access to international markets, and allows them to make significant cost and time savings on transportation. Furthermore, buyers are able to realise exclusive benefits too, such as access to a wide range of equipment at fair market prices that come with guaranteed inspection reports and the IronPlanet IronClad Assurance.

Felipe Fernández-Urrutia, Vice President European Sales, at IronPlanet said: “We are delighted that our October 29th online auction features such a large variety of the best used machinery available. Additionally, we are proud that our strong relationship with VINCI means it continues to choose the IronPlanet platform to sell used construction equipment.  It further strengthens the IronPlanet brand as the most convenient, trusted and cost-effective means to buy and sell used construction equipment.”
