Family-owned company Hector Van Moer and Sons selected Omtrack, a Keestrack Group company, when looking for a solution to recycle construction and demolition waste. “In our C&D waste there are often big pieces of steel which will lead to a lot of downtime when using a percussion crusher. That is why we prefer a jaw crusher,” said owner Dirk Van Moer.

Omtrack’s new Giove jaw crusher is 1,100 x 750mm in a closed circuit, and has a removable after-screen of 1,200 x 3,000mm and a pre-screen with side discharge conveyor.

The client-customised Giove CC weighs 62tonnes (the crushing unit weighs 19tonnes), and with Van Moer it produces 130tonnes at CSS 45-46mm, of which ± 100tonnes is Copro-approved (a Belgian standard) crushed aggregate of 0-40mm and ± 30 tonnes natural fines of 0-15mm.
