Generator manufacturer JCB Power Products has launched a new generator range from 650kVA and above.

The company says it is making Perkins and Cummins engines available, alongside the existing MTU and Mitsubishi power offerings, to provide more flexibility to better suit specific customer requirements across the world.

The JCB generators, designed, engineered and built in Britain, also feature 50Hz and 60Hz options to suit global demand.

The company says that by working in partnership with its global customer base, JCB Power Products and its extensive generator dealer network has developed a broader engine offering to suit all territories and applications, taking into account engine familiarity, brand popularity, spares availability and full-life cost.

Perkins and Cummins engines will be offered along with MTU and Mitsubishi engines in a range of 50Hz generator sets from 700kVA-3,350kVA, while a choice of Cummins, MTU and Mitsubishi power will be available in 60Hz sets, with a maximum output of 3,200kW.

JCB Power Products says it is also meeting the needs of customers in the hire sector with the launch of the first four RS diesel generators, specifically designed for the power generation rental market.

Powered by JCB’s DieselMax engine, the generators have standard LiveLink for Power to monitor and manage one generator or an entire fleet.

The first four RS-branded generators will offer outputs of 60, 80, 100 and 125kVA, the most popular power nodes for rental machines.

The 60, 80 and 100kVA models are powered by JCB’s mechanically-controlled Stage IIIA DieselMax engines, while the 130kVA model has an electronically-controlled DieselMax. The generator design has been future-proofed to accept engines up to Stage V emissions standards in years to come.
