After 28 years of service at Tillicoultry Quarries, Joe Hadnum retired from his director role on 17 May 2024. Joe's departure marks the end of a career in which he has displayed exceptional commitment and made a notable contribution to the growth of the major UK quarrying company.

Commenting on Joe’s retirement, Wallace Menzies, Tillicoultry Quarries’ director, said: “Joe has been an integral part of our journey with his extensive industry knowledge and commercial acumen. He has been a cornerstone of our business and has been instrumental in shaping our success. The board, alongside the entire team at Tillicoultry Quarries, extends our best wishes to Joe for a well-deserved and fulfilling retirement.”

With over five decades of dedicated service to the quarrying sector, Joe’s departure will be felt by colleagues, customers, and industry peers alike, who have benefited from his guidance and friendship over the years.

Reflecting on his retirement, Joe expressed gratitude for the journey he has undertaken. “I am immensely proud of our accomplishments at Tillicoultry Quarries,” he remarked. “From humble beginnings to a prominent presence in Scotland, Teesside, and East Anglia, our journey has been a team effort with everyone involved. I extend my thanks to my colleagues and customers for their encouragement and support throughout the years.”
