John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) will return to Munich, Germany, April 7–13, 2025, to participate in bauma, the construction industry’s largest trade show. JDPS will be located in Hall A4 at Booth 325, displaying the latest advancements in John Deere power solutions.

“At bauma 2025, we’ll be showcasing how John Deere is developing technologies that not only meet today’s needs but also anticipate the challenges our industry will face in this next era,” said Nick Block, director of global marketing and sales of JDPS. “The demand for sustainable, efficient power solutions is increasing, and we’re committed to meeting that demand with a diverse portfolio of technologies that address these evolving needs. We believe the future of power is not defined by a single solution but by a range of options that empower our customers to choose the best fit for their operations.”

Rugged Industrial Engines

Attendees will see firsthand how John Deere industrial engines, including the Next Generation Engines — the JD4, JD14, and JD18 — are engineered to meet the evolving needs of the off-highway industry. These engines offer increased power density and improved fuel efficiency. The JD4 excels in diverse applications with its compact size and high torque output. At the same time, the JD14 boasts exceptional power per litre and an after-treatment system with or without a particulate filter based on emissions tier. For heavy-duty demands, the JD18 delivers impressive power without an exhaust after-treatment system, which helps simplify maintenance. JDPS will also showcase its optimized JD9, which builds on the proven performance of the existing 9.0L engine to provide reliable performance and streamlined integration.

Comprehensive Aftermarket and Customer Support Solutions

JDPS helps its customers maximise uptime with comprehensive service support. At bauma, attendees can learn about the robust John Deere service network and solutions available, including Lifecycle Service Solution. This complete service package includes engine maintenance plans, PowerGard™ Protection Plan, and John Deere Connected Support to keep John Deere-powered equipment running. Customers can rely on the company’s global network of more than 9,000 dealer locations with skilled engine experts and can depend on John Deere-approved parts for confidence that lasts for the lifetime of the engine.

Future-Forward Battery Technology

John Deere and KREISEL Electric GmBH (KREISEL) are showcasing their latest advancements in electrification at bauma, including a prototype battery pack designed for seamless integration with off-highway machinery. This prototype battery features a flexible, modular architecture and KREISEL’s patented immersion cooling technology, which provides active thermal management for optimal performance, safety, and lifespan. With a focus on meeting customers’ evolving needs across equipment segments and applications, John Deere is engineering highly energy-dense batteries that deliver significant power. KREISEL battery technology is actively used across various applications and industries, including agriculture, road building, construction, on-road, and marine. The KBP63 battery pack will be displayed at bauma in the outdoor Wirtgen booth (FS. 1011).

In addition to the battery packs, John Deere is developing a comprehensive charging ecosystem featuring KREISEL’s battery technology to provide versatile charging options with stationary and mobile solutions for various job sites. A mobile charging solution and the CHIMERO charging station will be displayed in the outdoor Wirtgen booth — demonstrating John Deere’s commitment to providing practical and adaptable electrification solutions for the off-highway industry.

Investing in the Right Solutions for a New Era in Power

Those who visit the JDPS booth will get an interactive look at how JDPS is investing in diversified solutions to help its customers meet varied sustainability and efficiency goals. As a global manufacturer, JDPS carefully analyses regional application differences and how they impact the adoption of various renewable fuels, hybrid, and battery electric solutions.

With the increasing emphasis on renewable fuels, JDPS is dedicated to providing its customers with proven, efficient, and optimal solutions. At bauma, attendees can discover how the company’s advanced engine technologies are designed to support using renewable diesel fuels and biodiesel blends. John Deere is dedicated to rigorous testing and validation to ensure that customers have access to greater fuel flexibility while maintaining optimal performance and efficiency.

In addition to designing for renewable fuels, JDPS is leveraging its relationship with KREISEL to develop battery solutions for key OEM markets like construction, mining and material handling. With KREISEL, JDPS is also pursuing charging solutions to serve off-road electric vehicles where typical grid infrastructure is unavailable.

The off-highway equipment market continues to evolve, along with the rest of the world, in terms of sustainability. A challenge as complicated as efficiently powering our most important industries requires proven expertise and a commitment to testing and investing in the right solutions. At bauma 2025, JDPS will showcase how it is prepared to usher in ‘A New Era in Power’.
