Kim Fausing has been proposed as the next chairman of Holcim’s board of directors. Subject to vote at the Swiss building materials giant’s annual general meeting (AGM) 2025, Fausing will succeed Jan Jenisch, who will not stand for re-election following his appointment as the designated chairman and CEO of the planned North American company.
Fausing has been a Holcim board of directors member since 2020 and serves on the group’s audit committee. He has been president and CEO of the Danfoss Group in Denmark since July 2017. Before this, he was chief operating officer and member of the executive committee since January 2008. From 1990 until joining Danfoss, Fausing held various international positions within the Hilti Group in Europe and Asia.
Jan Jenisch, the current chairman of Holcim, said: “We are delighted to propose Kim Fausing as chairman of the board of directors to our shareholders. Kim is a highly successful CEO of a global technology leader in energy-efficient building solutions, electrification and machine productivity. As an acting CEO for over seven years and five years as a Holcim board member, we are confident Kim will be a great chairman for Holcim.”
A Danish national born in 1964, Fausing holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aarhus Teknikum and an MBA from Henley Business School in the UK.
