Komatsu Europe has confirmed changes to its distribution network in France.
Following the announcement, the BIA Group will take over the regions from BPM Construction after the acquisition of BPM Construction’s activities by the BIA Group.
According to Komatsu Europe, the existing teams, operational structures, and on-the-ground organisations will remain in place to ensure continuity for customers.
Komatsu Europe chief executive officer and managing director Tadashi Maeda said the French market is one of the most dynamic for Komatsu in the EMEA region.
“This evolution marks a new step in the deployment of our European strategy. By entrusting BIA with the distribution of our products in the territory currently covered by BPM Construction, we are bringing together the experience of two strong and complementary partners,” he said.
“Our priority is to provide our customers with even higher-performing support, both commercially and in after-sales service. We warmly thank BPM Construction for many years of collaboration and development, and we are confident that BIA will continue this momentum by delivering significant added value to the French market.”
Komatsu Europe will be supporting both organisations through a transition period for a smooth handover. BPM Construction has delivered distribution, technical support, and spare parts supply for Komatsu equipment across key territories in western France for more than three decades, while BIA Group has been a trusted Komatsu distributor in Belgium for more than 25 years.
