Lafarge Canada is to potentially integrate a carbon dioxide (CO2) embedded concrete additive from utilisation company Carbon Upcycling Technologies into its operations.
Lafargesays the additive makes concrete both stronger and more sustainable with the ability to reduce the carbon footprint of concrete by up to 25% on a lifecycle basis.
The partners will also explore opportunities to expandCarbon Upcycling‘s operating capacity by developing larger processing facilities.
