Liebherr and Reycom are collaborating with Qualcomm Technologies to develop and deploy LiRISE, the next generation of edge AI gateways with scalable security, cutting-edge AI and autonomous applications. LiRISE is built to withstand harsh environments, pushing software-defined machines and industrial appliances to new heights.

“By delivering security-rich, high-performance, and future-ready solutions, we help our customers navigate an increasingly complex world. Through collaborations with leading technology companies, we unite deep industry knowledge with cutting-edge innovation,” says Claus von Reibnitz, Head of Control Systems & Connectivity at Liebherr.

“The demands on gateways for autonomous applications are constantly increasing, and only a close integration of hardware and software can meet the combination of functionality, performance, and security. Additionally, the stringent requirement to enhance resilience against cyber-attacks further increases the complexity of the overall system architecture,” emphasises Pascal Rey, CEO and founder of Reycom. “LiRISE provides the platform that enables customers to focus on their applications.”

“The collaboration represents an exciting step toward more intelligent industrial machines,” said Eric Mazzoleni, Vice President, Industrial and Embedded IoT Sales – Europe at Qualcomm Germany. “By integrating our Qualcomm Dragonwing QCS6490 and industrial-grade IQ9 Series processors into Liebherr’s next-generation edge AI gateways, we are enabling high-performance computing and accelerated AI features that will support a variety of new AI-rich applications. We are proud to collaborate with these industry leaders as they unlock the full potential of edge AI for industrial appliances and software-defined machines.”

Powered by Qualcomm Dragonwing processors, LiRISE brings together high-performance computing, optimised AI processing, and advanced connectivity. Designed for a wide range of IoT applications, Qualcomm Dragonwing technology is now driving the next generation of AI and autonomous operations in mobile machines, setting a new standard for efficiency and intelligence.

The LiRISE solution – featuring Liebherr’s advanced edge AI gateways and the Reycom Industrial Secure Edge Platform (RISE) – unlocks the next level of autonomous and semi-autonomous operations. By combining AI-driven applications with an intuitive, personalised user experience, LiRISE makes cutting-edge technology more accessible than ever.

Stronger together, Qualcomm Technologies, Reycom, and Liebherr bring a seamless integration of AI across a diverse range of devices and industries – enhancing safety, intelligence, and security across global operations.
