Longcliffe has underlined its commitment to sustainability by installing electric vehicle charging points at its Brassington Moor Quarry.
Longcliffe has placed charging points at all of its Derbyshire sites. In all, the company has installed five double charged which can be used by all staff, contractors and visitors. Two have been set up at its Curzon Lodge Transport Depot and head office, and one at its Brassington Moor Quarry entrance.
The company has also committed to changing its company car fleet to electric power as the vehicles come up with renewal.
“We are continually looking at ways of managing our environmental impact and making our business more sustainable and this goes beyond our site operations,” Longcliffe group managing director Paul Boustead said.
“We are investigating renewable fuels for our fleet and now encouraging employees to look at non-fossil fuel options for their own vehicles.”
