The Lutze Group has taken over Germany's largest Metso Outotec dealer, Fischer-Jung Aufbereitungstechnik, based in Krefeld. The acquired company is now known as Lutze Process Germany.

Already based in more than 40 locations and known for wear protection and conveying technology, The Lutze Group (Lutze) has been expanding its classic business focus to include machines for mineral processing for some time.

Most recently, Lutze took over the Danish company DGM (Dansk Grusgrav Material ApS) in 2020 and has thus become a Metso Outotec dealer for Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. DGM is a traditional company supplying Metso Outotec stationary and mobile crushing and screening equipment to the stone and gravel, construction, mining, mineral processing, concrete and asphalt industries in parts of Scandinavia for 50 years. DGM meanwhile trades under the name Lutze Process Denmark ApS.

In 2022, Lutze took another step and acquired Fischer-Jung Aufbereitungstechnik in Krefeld. In doing so, it secured the exclusive Metso Outotec dealership for mobile crushing and screening plants for large parts of Germany (sales areas in western Germany and Baden-Württemberg). Fischer-Jung Bau- und Recyclingtechnik based in Arnsdorf near Dresden, is not part of this takeover and will continue to operate in eastern Germany and parts of Bavaria.

Lutze, a group with around 550 employees, will handle the sales of processing plants in Benelux and Scandinavia via separate companies, which also have the suffix ‘Process’ in the company name. In this way, the conveyor technology business can be separated more clearly from process technology – as is now the case in Germany.

Lutze Process Germany’s goal is to shift the company’s orientation to the second pillar in addition to wear protection and conveying technology. To do this, the firm wants to use the existing infrastructure of its parent group, both in terms of sales and service, to gain market share, especially in southern Germany. As a result of the acquisition, Lutze expects to increase its turnover to €125mn-€130mn in 2023.

Markus Püllen has been appointed managing director of Lutze Process Germany.
