MAGNA has secured a new appointment to its growing staff and locked in a new North American distributor.

The Terex brand has announced that the three trading companies of UK-based Molson Group (Molson US Powerscreen) will be its distributors across North America. With Molson US operating in several US states, including Washington, California, Texas, and Arizona, the deal provides MAGNA with significant market presence.

“The MAGNA range offers robust design and high-capacity performance that will allow us to meet the diverse needs across our vast territories. In Washington and California, we’re focusing on big jaws and cones to support the region’s hard rock quarry and mining demands,” Molson Group global commercial director Andrew Marsh said.

“Meanwhile, in Texas, we anticipate strong uptake of MAGNA’s large impactors, ideal for limestone and recycling applications that are more common in this state. The breadth and versatility of the MAGNA range allow us to tailor solutions to the specific demands of each region, so we deliver the right equipment for every application.”

Molson’s US operation include Powerscreen California with six locations in the region, Powerscreen Texas across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas, and Powerscreen of Washington operating in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. The deal will also see Molson expands its MAGNA product line coverage through New Mexico and Utah.

“We see Molson Group and its Powerscreen branches as being a key driver for our success in the US,” MAGNA business line director Neil McIlwaine said.

“Having represented other Terex brands for many years, Molson is a perfect example of a distributor who leverages our global infrastructure and digital platforms to deliver specialized service and support.

“Their understanding of regional needs and commitment to service will ensure MAGNA customers benefit from equipment precisely matched to their applications, delivering measurable performance and driving profitability in their operations.”

It comes after the Terex brand also announced Niall Duffy will join as its product and technical sales manager

Duffy will work closely with Terex teams across engineering, finance, sales, and marketing as well as MAGNA’s commercial strategy and product development.

He joins MAGNA after previous experience with MPP’s environmental team and Powerscreen’s product management team.

“Niall’s appointment marks another key step in MAGNA’s continued investment in people, processes, and products that drive long-term growth and customer success,” McIlwaine said.

“He brings a rare combination of deep engineering knowledge and commercial awareness, which aligns with our strategy of delivering practical, high-performing solutions for our customers.”
