Magna Tyres Group has acquired Dutch tyre retreading giant OBO Tyres. Founded in 1959, OBO Tyres is a specialist producer of retreaded tyres for the OTR and agricultural market, while also offering further tyre repair services.
The company recently received exclusive distribution rights for the Magna agricultural and MTP OTR tyres, allowing the company to offer qualitative and cost effective new tyre solutions to the Benelux tyre market.
The acquisition of OBO Tyres is said to be the next step in the global expansion of the Magna Tyres Group. It enables the Group to offer customers an increased product range and additional cost effective retreading options, lowering the total cost of Magna Tyres’ solutions.
The integration of OBO Tyres within the Magna Tyres Group will start from the beginning of January 2017. The name and entity of both companies will remain the same.
