Magna Tyres Group has formed its first strategic cooperation and alliance in the USA with the off the road (OTR) tyres warehouse Tires Direct.
Earlier this mionth Dutch-based Magna announced that it has opened its first US office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Magna says that Tires Direct – which has warehouses in Texas, Florida and California – is an important partner to expand its business in the US market.
“Our growth trajectory in the last half year has been significant and the partnership with Tires Direct is another milestone,” the company said in a statement.
“We see that distribution and partnerships have played an important role in our brand growth story so far and believe that Tires Direct can spread it even more, with it’s nationwide warehouses all across USA, the commercial medium truck centres and wide network of dealers.”
In the upcoming months, Magna Tyres says it will have and maintain a full range of its products (mining & earthmover tyres, port & material handling tyres, and solid tyres) in strategic warehouses across USA.
Robert Smith has been appointed as sales manager of Magna Tyres USA and will lead the new US regional office. He has 20 years of experience in general management and sales in the tyre industry for some of the industry’s major brands.
