Magna Tyres has launched its new tyre for articulated dump trucks: the Magna M-Terrain. Magna M-Terrain is the first E4 rated tyre of the Magna Tyres’ product range especially designed for ADTs. Magna M-Terrain is available in tyre size 29.5R25, a common size for wheels of ADT’s. Magna M-Terrain is available in tyre size 29.5R25, a common size for wheels of ADT’s. Before the launch of M-Terrain, Magna Tyres already produced this tyre size with the patterns MA02 (E3+/L3+ tread), MA05 and MA08 (both L5 treads) and MA05S (L5 smooth tread). With M-Terrain, Magna Tyres is able to offer their customers the 29.5R25 tyre with an E4 tread pattern.
Some specific technical features are notable on the new Magna M-Terrain tyre. A more aggressive tread pattern is said provide excellent traction in challenging off-road conditions. Because of the wide tyre shoulder design, the protection of the sidewall and tyre flotation are also said to be improved. The tread compound provides excellent resistance to cutting and abrasion.
The new tyre by the Hollandheadquartered firm is currently running at open-pit mines and quarries in Australia, South Korea, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.
