Off the road (OTR) tyre retreads company Marangoni has strengthened its Nordic operations through expanded relationships with two retreading firms in the region.

The Italian company has signed distribution agreements with Lujakumi and Gummiservice Rad that will see the two companies using the latest RINGTREAD System technology supplied by Marangoni for one and three years, respectively.

The expanded agreements mean the two firms are now starting to sell earthmoving and industrial handling retreads manufactured at the Marangoni plant in Rovereto, Italy.

The range of earthmoving retreaded tyres is designed to offer the most appropriate profile for each specific application, and involves the use of four types of tread compound to cater for differing environments and workloads.

Lujakumi Oy is a tyre retreader whose headquarters and production plant are in Pori, on Finland’s west coast. The company was founded in 1954 and originally offered a hot cure retread process. It switched to a precure process in 1968 and has been using Marangoni technology since 2017.

Gummiservice was established in southern Norway in 1967 and began TBR (truck and bus radial) tyre retreading operations in 1986, and has become specialised in the precure process. In 2015, it integrated Marangoni’s RINGTREAD in its product range. The company was recently acquired by Marangoni Retreading Systems Deutschland.

Both companies are say they are focused on implementing tyre solutions based on premium retreading, using quality casings from the most reliable new tyre brands to produce TBR retreads with exceptional performance and reliability.
