Marcel Cobuz has been appointed Titan Cement Group's new executive committee chairman.
The Greece-headquartered Group said that Cobuz’s recruitment would help accelerate its work on carbon neutrality and a digitalised value chain while also opening new growth avenues.
Cobuz will succeed Dimitri Papalexopoulos as chairman of the executive committee as of 15 October 2022. Papalexopoulos will assume the position of chairman of Titan Cement Group’s Board of Directors, succeeding Takis Arapoglou on 1 January 2023.
A French and Romanian national, Cobuz has more than 20 years of experience in the building and infrastructure materials industry and has served in various leadership, innovation and transformation roles with Lafarge and Holcim, including LafargeHolcim Europe CEO and executive committee member.

Under the leadership of Papalexopoulos, Titan expanded internationally, strengthened its culture of operational excellence and achieved significant progress in decarbonisation and digitalisation.
