RDO Equipment executive vice president Marshall Anderson has been confirmed as the new chairman of the Associated Equipment Distributors’ board.
Anderson will serve a one-year term in the role and has already outlined his commitment to support AED’s goal of supporting the equipment distribution sector via advocacy and education.
“It’s an honour to serve as AED chairman and to represent an industry that plays such a vital role in powering the economy,” he said.
“I look forward to working alongside AED’s leadership and membership to strengthen our collective voice, support distributor success, and help position our industry for long-term growth.”
AED also confirmed Bejac Corporation president and chief executive officer Ron Barlet will be the chairman of the AED Foundation for a two-year term. He said he wanted to engage the industry through professional education and workforce development programs.
“Workforce development remains one of the most critical challenges facing our industry,” Barlet said.
“As chairman of the AED Foundation, I’m excited to help expand programs that attract, train, and retain the next generation of skilled professionals and ensure our members have the talent they need to thrive.”
The association also welcomed Michael Paradis, Stephen Farrens and Ken Monroe to its board of directors. Patrick Kearns, Vikram Savkar, Eric Mason, Terry Folan and Michele Stanley have joined the AED Foundation’s board of directors.
“Their guidance and leadership will be critical as we continue to expand workforce development programs and ensure the industry has the talent it needs for the future,” AED and AED foundation president Brian P. McGuire said.
