Metso’s long-standing distributor BIA Group has acquired BPM Construction, a well-established Metso distributor serving the construction and aggregates industries in France.

BPM Construction has more than 100 employees spread over six strategic sites (Nantes, Rennes, Bordeaux, Caen, Niort and Châteaulin) and offers a portfolio of brands including Metso, Komatsu and Kiverco. The integration of BPM Construction into the BIA Group strengthens the offer of innovative solutions while guaranteeing local technical support to clients.

Metso says the transaction strengthens its existing distributor network in France by combining two experienced partners and enhancing service continuity and customer proximity.

BIA Group has been an official Metso representative for more than 95 years, serving aggregates customers in Belgium and West Africa. The acquisition unites two Metso distributors with complementary strengths and further reinforces Metso’s ability to support its customers in France through strong local expertise, reliable aftermarket services, and access to Metso’s solutions and technologies.

BPM Construction (formerly SAMI TP) has been a Metso distributor for many years and operates six locations across northern and western France, providing sales, service and aftersales support. Following the acquisition, operations of BPM Construction will be integrated into BIA France, ensuring uninterrupted service for its customers while benefiting from BIA Group’s broader international capabilities and resources.

“We welcome this development within our distributor network in France. The integration of BIA Group and BPM Construction will strengthen customer proximity and service capabilities while ensuring continuity for existing customers. We are looking forward to continuing the cooperation with BIA France”, says Carlos Padin, vice president, distribution management EMEA at Metso.

“By bringing BPM Construction into BIA Group, we are broadening our European presence to France while continuing our long-standing collaboration with Metso”, says Romain Bia, CEO of BIA Group. “Our focus is on a seamless integration and maintaining the high level of service BPM Construction’s customers are accustomed to.”
