Metso Outotec has started a quarrying, construction and recycling equipment distribution agreement in the UK with Maintenance Solutions & Services (MSS).

As of October 2021, MSS offers Metso Outotec’s Trellex screening media and lining and conveyor solutions for aggregates quarrying and recycling customers in England, Scotland, and Wales.

MSS has a large existing customer base in the quarrying, construction, demolition & recycling sectors. Metso Outotec says that MSS is known for its flexibility and knowledge, and that its added capabilities complement Metso Outotec’s aggregates service offering in the UK.

“We are warmly welcoming MSS to the Metso Outotec distributor said Olli-Pekka Oksanen, senior VP, distribution management office, Metso Outotec. “Our expectation is that the partnership helps to strengthen our customer service in the region and that our aggregate customers will be able to enjoy faster service, and closer relationships with MSS’s skilled local personnel.”

MSS director Simon Bailey commented: “Metso Outotec is known for innovation and problem solving, which are the same qualities we strive for at MSS.”

Claes Edin, screening sales support manager, aftermarket distribution in Metso Outotec, added: “MSS has workshop capabilities to fabricate tailormade solutions from standard products which will be stocked at their facilities. They also provide 24/7 maintenance service for the Metso Outotec aggregates customers.”

Metso Outotec’s Trellex range consist of products for screening media, lining and conveyor solutions. Trellex products are mainly made of rubber or polyurethane compounds. They are designed to add value to OEM equipment and boost customers’ profits by decreasing maintenance needs and increasing uptime.

MSS is a family-owned business with close to 50 staff members currently and head office and workshop in Leicestershire. MSS’s portfolio of products and services includes 24-hour onsite maintenance, wear solutions, consultancy, fabrication work, plant installations and de-commissioning.
