Finnish quarrying and mining plant and linked technology major Metso says it has completed the local consultation processes initiated on 7 October 2025, within parts of its Minerals business area. As a result, approximately 80 positions will be reduced globally, including 43 positions in Finland.
The consultations focused on adjustments to the operating model and efficiency measures. Together with other actions already implemented, Meso says the changes will result in annual cost savings of €13 million.
Metso has approximately 17,000 employees globally, and in Finland, it employs around 3,000 people in several locations.
