KARE Prague, part of the Nezvestice-based APB Plzen group, has taken delivery of two new Doosan DL350 wheel loaders. KARE Prague, part of the Nezvestice-based APB Plzen group, has taken delivery of two new Doosan DL350 wheel loaders.
They were supplied by Bobcat CZ, the authorised dealer for both the Doosan and Bobcat brands in the Czech Republic.
Petr Brezina, owner of APB Plzen, said: “We started the company in 1991 with one Avia vehicle and have grown over the last two decades through continuous improvement in services and customer satisfaction, into an economically strong and stable company with 500 employees and an annual turnover of over 2 billion Czech Koruna (€81 million).
“We first came into contact with Bobcat CZ in 2000 and bought new Bobcat 773 skid-steer loaders and attachments from Bobcat CZ in the following year.
“Working closely with Peter Hejduk, director of Bobcat CZ, this has meant that we have purchased more and more Bobcat equipment from the company over the years, including further compact wheeled and tracked loaders and Bobcat telescopic handlers. These orders have led to Bobcat products making up more than 17% of the machinery and vehicle fleet at APB Plzen, which numbers over 400 units.
“The APB Plzen fleet is used on construction, demolition, recycling, earthmoving and land reclamation projects.
“When we released the tender for supply of front articulated loaders with a 3.5m3 bucket capacity for our subsidiary KARE Prague, we contacted Bobcat CZ, which had taken on the dealership for Doosan products in 2011.”

“To help us decide, Bobcat CZ provided a smaller Doosan DL250 wheel loader to test in our operations. Following the tests, we decided to buy two of the larger Doosan DL350 wheel loaders equipped with heavy duty tyres, central lubrication, weighing equipment and strong Hardox buckets ideal for the arduous applications on our sites.
“These machines have been operating on a single-shift basis and we have carried out an assessment of the economy of their operation, especially fuel and we were pleasantly surprised to confirm the fuel economy figures matched those we were given by the manufacturer.”
