Metso has launched its newest mobile screen from the Lokotrack series, the Lokotrack ST2.4. The screen is said by the company to combine high screening capacity with low fuel consumption, which has been achieved through optimised hydraulic design and state-of-the-art process steering automatics. “Lokotrack ST2.4 is well suited for the accurate classifying of any feed materials, from the pre-screening of the coarsest gravel to the fine classifying and processing of natural sands or any demanding recycled mat

Metso has launched its newest mobile screen from the Lokotrack series, the Lokotrack ST2.4.

The screen is said by the company to combine high screening capacity with low fuel consumption, which has been achieved through optimised hydraulic design and state-of-the-art process steering automatics.

“Lokotrack ST2.4 is well suited for the accurate classifying of any feed materials, from the pre-screening of the coarsest gravel to the fine classifying and processing of natural sands or any demanding recycled materials,” says Metso.

The two-stage screen can produce three clean end-product sizes in one process.

“Our screen novelty is thoroughly designed for fast unit set-up from trailer to screening, achieved in just minutes,” says Kimmo Anttila, product manager for Metso mobile screens.

“All the conveyors are folded hydraulically and secured mechanically. Set up the screen angle, lift the feeder up and start screening.

“The quick set-up helps the screening contractor to add to the actual screening uptime, and thus helps to make even small contracts more economical.”

Opening of the screen on the ST2.4 is performed hydraulically, and this is said to make any maintenance, from cleaning to screen mesh changing, easier and also a lot safer.

Lokotrack ST2.4 can be equipped with a variety of screen media, from steel meshes to Trellex rubber and polyurethane materials.

Its top deck screen box size is 1.5m x 3.6m, and it features a 74.9kW Cat C4.4 diesel engine.

During transport, the screen is 14.2m long; 3.4m high; 2.9m wide, and it weighs 23.5tonnes with the belt feeder and 26.5tonnes with the apron feeder.
