On-board weighing equipment producer Loadrite has announced that it has signed a deal with UK-based Halomec to be its exclusive distributer in the region. Under the deal, the mobile equipment aftermarket solutions specialist will also help to promote Loadrite’s technology in Europe.

According to Loadrite, its equipment can be installed on excavators, materials handlers, wheel loaders, conveyors, crushers and screens to provide ultrasensitive, high accuracy weighing with powerful process and data management capabilities. The company has said that the technology offers advanced features to improve effi ciency and save cost in a range of industries, including construction, quarrying, mining, municipal, waste and recycling, scrap metal, and other materials handling applications.

Loadrite claims that it is the global leader in onboard weighing technology with signifi cant market share in North America and Australasia and its appointment of Halomec is part of the drive to increase business in Europe.

Halomec managing director Julian Athawes said, “We are pleased to be working with Loadrite. With our technical understanding of user markets and their plant and operational needs, we are looking forward to creating profi table weighing and data management solutions for customers and maintaining close service support to maximise their satisfaction with the brand.” Halomec has already received its fi rst order for Loadrite products from the Raymond Brown Group which has invested in three Loadrite Express systems for plant at its aggregates, minerals and recycling divisions in Dorset and Wiltshire.

These were installed on Caterpillar 962H and 966H wheeled loaders and have recently been put into service.
