The fleet conversion reflects the increasing availability of lower CO2 vehicles and forms part of CEMEX's ‘Future In Action’ strategy – committed to net zero CO2.

“As we accelerate our journey to net-zero CO2, we are committed to addressing all aspects of our CO2 emissions,” comments Graham Russell, vice president, supply chain & procurement for CEMEX EMEA. “Advances in technology enable us to move efficiently to a cleaner fleet with lower carbon solutions from today.”

Globally, CEMEX has committed to reducing its CO2 emissions by 35% by 2025 and around 40% by 2030. Its European operations are the first to align to the EU’s aspiration to reduce CO2 emissions by 55% by 2030.
