Maptek ran a series of demonstrations of the Vestrex Ecosystem at the exhibition in Las Vegas in September.

"Everyone we spoke to could immediately think of a way they could apply Vestrex to their organisation,' Mackenzie said. 'All of the ideas were different, and all of them were achievable because Vestrex enables collaboration on many levels, limited only by imagination," said James Mackenzie, global strategy manager at Maptek.

"Customers can expect effortless data transfer between cloud and desktop environments, with data managed securely from a centralised platform,' Mackenzie added. 'They will also be able to work with Maptek to orchestrate custom processes that handle their particular challenges."

The demonstrations showcased the platform's ability to use diverse data sources without being constrained by product, application, process or format. It enables teams and organisations in mining and quarrying to collaborate and explore their technical data in new ways.

The Vestrex platform can incorporate team members' review and analysis at any stage of the automated process. It has data security features, including encryption and backup protocols, to protect the company's data.
The new platform uses data services, cloud computing and orchestration to create integrated solutions and workflows for teams.

The platform uses Maptek Data Systems (MDS), the integration hub for processing data from anywhere through open APIs. MDS enables native in-app integration with Maptek desktop solutions and manages version control and publishing permissions through the Maptek Account. Additionally, the Maptek Compute Framework enables time-consuming calculations to be completed on scalable resources for quick results.

Mackenzie said the key to Vestrex's customer value was combining these two pillars with the new Maptek Orchestration Environment (MOE).

"Vestrex connects algorithms, executables and transformations to leverage computational power, scalability and parallelisation across business and technical systems. If you can get your data into Vestrex, Maptek can help transform it into value," he said.

"Making data accessible and consumable across multiple stakeholders, including non-technical users, at every stage of the mine life cycle fosters collaboration that can discover new and unexpected use cases in a way that redefines industry standards."
