The prominent Thai cement producer and distributor will join the WCA's global network and contribute to its initiatives as part of its membership.

Siam Cement Thung Song, established in 1962, is a subsidiary of the Siam Cement Group and the only cement plant in the southern region of Thailand. It produces and distributes high-quality cement products for residential and commercial projects and large infrastructure projects. The company is committed to achieving net zero by 2050, focusing on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. To this end, Siam Cement has invested in alternative fuels, renewable energy, energy-efficient technologies, and the development of innovative carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) techniques. According to the company, these measures have increased its renewable energy capacity and lowered emissions.
