Italcementi's green light to refurbish Monselice plant

Italian cement manufacturer 726 Italcementi has received permission to refurbish its Monselice plant in the Veneto region from the Council of state.

The €160million operation had been stopped by a sentence passed by TAR regional court of Lazio on environmental grounds.

The refurbishment will enable the facility to continue production for another 28 years and to reduce CO2 emissions by 70%.
