Pakistan domestic cement sales are up, but the country’s cement exports are down, according to All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) data. Total dispatches in the month under review stood at 3.029 million, an increase of 11.13% from November 2013.
In terms of zones, cement dispatched to the Pakistan domestic market from north-based mills recorded a total of 8.872 million tonnes, while south-based mills recorded a domestic cement dispatches of 1.689 million tonnes. The former corresponds to a year-on-year increase of 11.03%, while the latter represents a marginal increase of 1.52%. Cement exports from north-based mills recorded an 8.023% decrease during the period under review to 2.183 million tonnes, while its southern counterparts recorded an increase of 10.45% to 1.266 million tonnes of cement.
